If you would like to know how to relax and enjoy life more then take a step back from your busy life and discover what to do.

Sometimes life seems to be too hectic. The days go by too quickly and some things never seem to get done. What can you do to make a difference to your life, get the tasks that have to be done out of the way and begin to enjoy life much more?

1.Plan your day

Decide what you want to get done each day. You could list these things either first thing in the morning but best of all is to decide before you go to bed what you plan to accomplish the next day.

2.Prioritise

Having decided what to do it’s best to get started on those things which are important and urgent especially if they are things you’ve been putting off for a long time. Get them done and out of the way first. Start on tasks which are important but with a more distant deadline in plenty of time so that you don’t get into the situation of having pressure to finish them too quickly.

3.Take time out

It’s important to have a break at regular intervals during the day. Make sure you stop what you are doing even for a short while in order to have a meal, or have a chat with a friend. Even better would be to get out in the fresh air and have a walk, even a short walk can help you feel energised and ready to continue with the task in hand. If it’s absolutely impossible to get away from where you are then take just a few seconds to close your eyes and relax from head to toe while you breathe out any tension and breathe in relaxation.

4. Do different tasks

Spending the whole day only doing one job may not be best way to get it done,. Some people find it more productive to take a break every hour or every half an hour, to stretch your legs (if you’ve been sitting in front of a computer or to have a rest if you’ve been doing more physical tasks). By starting two or more tasks at intervals at the start of your day and then doing a bit of each in rotation will give you the satisfaction of completing more than one task by the end of the day.
